Major League Quadball (MLQ) has announced that the 2024 MLQ Championship will be hosted in Howard County, Md. on Aug. 17-19 in partnership with Visit Howard County.

Major League Quadball (MLQ) is partnering with Diaza, a soccer apparel brand founded by former professional soccer player Diego Hurtado. The Long Island City-based company has struck a three-year deal with MLQ to provide new uniforms for the quadball league’s 16 teams across the U.S. and Canada. For the first time, the athletes will have the option to order branded compression shorts, compression pants, and compression long sleeves.

US Quidditch and Major League Quidditch are rebranding as US Quadball (USQ) and Major League Quadball (MLQ). The International Quidditch Association (IQA), which governs the sport at the international level, is also planning to adopt the new name.

MLQ and US Quidditch have begun the process of selecting a new name for the real-life version of quidditch. The leagues will conduct a series of surveys over the next few months to guide a decision regarding the new name.
