Standout Performances: Week Six
In week six we saw a handful of one-sided affairs. To open the weekend the Chicago Prowl walk away with three triple digit wins against the Detroit Innovators. Afterwards, the New York Titans did the same to the Charlotte Aviators to wrap up the East Division. While the scoreboards illustrate dominance, don’t let the results fool you as there were a handful of exciting performances this weekend. Here are four that stood out.
Nicholas Love (#15)
In the Detroit Innovator’s 2025 home opener, Nicholas Love put on an outstanding performance. Entering his third season, Love has been playing an increasingly larger role for this Innovator franchise. This past weekend he put up 60 points against one of the league’s best defenses. Since the league started keeping track of single series stats, he is now tied for second, only behind Leo Fried, for the most points put up against the Prowl as an Innovator. Love also recorded three stops, leading the Detroit chasers defensively. Over these past two seasons we are starting to see Love become more of a centerpiece for the team in teal.
Nojus Ausra (#16)
In their 2025 season debut, Nojus Ausra illustrated just how complete the Chicago Prowl’s beater depth is before entering Buffalo. We already saw the standout performances from Matthew Brown and Sol Alexander in Cleveland. This past weekend, we got to see Ausra in the spotlight. While on the field, they didn’t let up a single goal against the Innovators, the only Prowl beater to do so. Ausra led the team with a 1.86 average dodgeballs and a plus/minus of +9. They also finished with four stops, tied for third among Prowl beaters. After 20 minutes, we also saw Ausra grab a flag for the Prowl in game two, reminding the league to not give them any time with a runner.
Devin Lee (#16)
As the Titans claimed the East this weekend, Devin Lee proved to the league that he can produce for New York in both the black and white headbands. He was one of the team's leading beaters with five stops, a 1.81 average dodgeballs, and a plus/minus of +14. This statline comes as no surprise to those that have seen Lee play over the past seasons of MLQ. However, the league might have been shocked to see him play almost flawlessly as a chaser. In just three possessions, he put up three goals, including an alley-oop on the middle hoop to complete his hat trick. Lee’s dominance across positions demonstrates that he can impact the game at both positions.
Jordi Sancho (#12)
In what was a tough outing for the Aviators, Jordi Sancho stood out. Sancho led the team with four stops, the most across the Charlotte beaters and chasers this weekend. Not to mention, he did it playing only 15 drives. For reference, only one Aviator beater has recorded more stops in a single series so far this summer. On top of the defensive performance, Sancho led the team in plus/minus and average dodgeballs this weekend. Look for Sancho to build off his great performance against one of the strongest teams in the league.
