Standout Performances: Week Seven
In week seven, we saw another thriller in D.C. as the Washington Admirals walked away with a 2-1 win over the Boston Forge. The East Division is now wrapped up, having three split series this summer. In one of the most electrifying matchups of the year, here are a couple standout performances.
Zan Siddiqui (#7)
In the most important series of the summer for Washington, Zan Siddiqui stepped up in a big way. This was his best statistical performance in the regular season since Siddiqui joined the league in 2023. He led the chasers in stops with eight and was second among Admirals in scoring with 50 points. In this series alone, he set his personal bests in goals and stops. Siddiqui helped propel Washington to an upset win and a third place finish, after a tough series loss to the Charlotte Aviators. Look for Siddiqui and Washington to ride the momentum in the Buffalo.
Thomas Flathers (#13)
While the Forge suffered a devastating loss to the Admirals, they ultimately took care of business, solidifying their second place spot by grabbing a win in game two. One of the most exciting performances on the Boston-side was Thomas Flathers. Throughout the season we’ve seen young Boston players take larger and larger roles, and this weekend Flathers added his name to that list. In his MLQ debut, Flathers led the team with five assists, and put up three stops. Despite the series loss, Forge fans should be ecstatic for the future of the franchise with rookies like Flathers.
