MLQ Conference Championship, Benepe Cup Brackets
Throughout the regular season, MLQ franchises competed across four divisions to determine seeding at the MLQ Conference Championships in late July and early August. A franchise’s performance at the MLQ Conference Championship will determine whether they qualify for the Benepe Cup at MLQ Championship and, in the event of qualification, where they will be seeded.
Below is the format for each MLQ Conference Championship bracket.
Central Conference Championship Bracket
East Conference Championship Bracket
The first seed in a division will play the first seed in the other division within its conference. The second will play the second and the third seed will play the third. These series will be denoted as Series 1, 2, and 3. Each series will be a best two-of-three. The third game will not be played if the same franchise has won the first two matches.
The winner of Series 1 will be crowned the MLQ Conference Champion and awarded the first overall seed for their conference in the Benepe Cup bracket at MLQ Championship. The loser of Series 1 will play the winner of Series 2 for the two and three seeds, respectively. The loser of Series 2 and the winner of Series 3 will play for the fourth and final seed, with the loser of Series 3 being eliminated from Benepe Cup contention.
After both conference championships have concluded, the 10 qualifying teams will be matched up at MLQ Championship according to the following bracket:
The MLQ Central Conference will be “A” and the MLQ East Conference will be “B” for the purpose of the Benepe Cup bracket. All franchises will face off in a best two-of-three, single-elimination format. The four and five seeds from each conference will play for the right to compete against the overall one seed from each conference.
