2024 MLQ Season Dues

For the 2024 MLQ season, official MLQ team dues will be increasing from $1,290 ($1,740 CAD) to $1,950 ($2,630 CAD). These dues sum to a total of $65 ($88 CAD) per player for a full 30-person roster. This is only the second time since 2015 that MLQ has raised team dues.

This increase is due primarily to the inflation that has affected the U.S. since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Equipment, livestreaming gear, field permitting, insurance coverage, and other league expenses have been on the rise.

MLQ prides itself on making the regular season affordable and accessible to every interested player, and we believe that $65 ($88 CAD) per player remains a reasonable price. Please see below how those dues compare to some other similar organizations/sports.

Practice squad dues will also see a slight increase from $35 to $40 for a full participant. This will include a jersey and the ability to compete in the Next Gen Showcase at MLQ Championship. If a division has more than one competitive practice squad, MLQ will also host a divisional practice squad series for full participants. Practice only dues will remain the same at $25 per person.

As a reminder, MLQ also offers a number of grants, including the MLQ Athlete Advancement Program and the MLQ BIPOC Grant each season. All franchise athletes are eligible to apply.
